What is Correlation and Correlation Coefficient
The correlation coefficient is a number that shows the strength and direction of the relationship between two variables. It is represented by the symbol "r" and has a value between -1 and +1.

If the correlation coefficient is positive (+1), this shows a complete positive correlation, which means that when one variable increases, so does the other, and vice versa.
If the correlation coefficient is negative (-1), it shows a perfect negative correlation, which means that as one variable rises, the other falls, and vice versa.
If the correlation coefficient is near to zero, it suggests that the variables have little or no association.
